Lara Wratten is an Australian primary school teacher who will be pursuing studies in Human Development and Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Drawing on insights from her honours research and experience working in Australian primary schools, she has developed a strong interest in researching effective approaches to supporting students’ emotional regulation in the classroom. At HGSE, she aims to investigate evidence-based emotional regulation strategies that can be embedded in Australian classrooms and to explore how these practices can be translated into effective training for early career teachers.
