Matt plans to focus his studies on the impact of technological change and inclusive economic growth. This will build on his recent work at the BBC, considering how generative AI may disrupt the media, political and economic landscapes. He hopes that the programme will help him to distinguish the hallmarks of effective, progressive and practical macro-economic policies. After Harvard, he plans to apply this by working on UK growth policy.
