Matthew Millikin is a mathematics teacher and an Ed.M. candidate in Human Development and Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. His recent work has focused on addressing negative student perceptions of mathematics through targeted intervention and data-informed support strategies. At HGSE, he hopes to deepen his understanding of the cognitive and developmental factors that shape how students experience mathematics, with a particular interest in reducing math anxiety and building student confidence. He plans to use these insights to inform more effective, research-based approaches to mathematics education across Australian schools.
